THE COMPANY is a creative house operating between American and Norwegian artists. Our work moves through coffee and coffee-adjacent forms: visuals, flavors, sounds, places, and the people they bring together.

In Nordic culture, coffee is not a match for lighting your daily schedule on fire with busyness.

It is pause.
A deliberate stillness between moments.
An anchor of presence.
A way of listening
to the room,
to the record,
to the story across the table,
to the quiet inside yourself.

It is a focus.
A deliberate sense of energy towards specific and meaningful moments.
A boost towards clarity.
A way of productivity.
to the meaningful,

THE COMPANY exists to carry that sensibility forward by:

1. Importing & designing Nordic coffees that are roasted with clarity and restraint, reflecting the culture's approach to life and well-being.

2. Curating "Nordic" style moments of well-being for our members to enjoy. 

3. Providing an extraordinary "svart kaffe" stay in the mountains and fjords of Norway. Trips include coffee moments hosted by our coffee sommelier, Michelin-star meals, top-rated accommodations, and opportunities to meet local artists.

CANDACE COXE

As a coffee sommelier, Candace possesses the expertise to assess coffee's quality, history, processing methods, and flavor profiles by a single sip. Her training and experience enable her to match small batches of coffee with those who will appreciate them most. Since coffee has more bio-complexity than wine, Candace emphasizes individual preference as a determining factor and ignores the common language of "good vs. bad."

Upon returning to the USA, Candace missed her preferred Nordic-style coffee. She decided to collaborate with her community to offer imported goods and experiences that enhance the Nordic sense of intentionality and stillness, wherever it may be. 
And thus, THE COMPANY was born.
